Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chair Devlet Bahçeli, an ally of the government, has announced the start of his party's election campaign for the 2023 polls.
Addressing the MHP's parliamentary group today (October 2), Bahçeli said they will expose "the true color" of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), which he often accuses of cooperating with "terrorists."
"We'll share with our national people who voted for the CHP about its alliance with the HDP [Peoples' Democratic Party] in the 131 polling district where it gathered the highest number of votes and about its opposition to the fight against terrorism," he said.
Bahçeli added that they will carry out a face to face campaign to "reach everyone in every province."
"I'm sending our friends to Anatolia to explain the CHP's secret agenda to our people and to expose it. We can't leave the 100th year of our republic to luck," he remarked.
Bahçeli once again dismissed the opposition's call for a snap election and the elections will be held as scheduled in 2023, the 100th year of the Republic. (DŞ/VK)
