Turkey was the least compliant state with recommendations against corruption in 2019, according to a new report by the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).
The country didn't comply with 74.2 percent, partially complied with 19.1 percent and fully complied with 6.5 percent of the 31 recommendations, the report shows.
More than 83 percent of judges, 75 percent of prosecutors didn't follow the recommendations to reduce corruption. None of the seven recommendations concerning members of the parliament were implemented.
GRECO also stated in its previous reports that the structural adjustments in Turkey harmed the independence of judges.
Norway was the only country that followed all the recommendations among the 46 GRECO member countries.
