A total of 38,186 individual applications were made to the Constitutional Court over right violation claims in 2018, Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül has stated.
The top court responded to 35,376 of the applications, the minister said in response to a parliamentary question by MP Ömer Fethi Gürer from the Republican People's Party (CHP).
The five provinces with the highest numbers of applications were Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Diyarbakır and Antep.
Pointing out that nearly 100 applications are made to the Constitutional Court, MP Gürer said "the one-man regime" in the country caused an increase in rights violations. (RT/VK)
