The Metropoll Strategic and Social Research Center has shared some findings from its recent survey "The Pulse of Turkey December 2019."
In face-to-face surveys, the participants were asked, "If there were elections in Turkey this Sunday, for which political party would you vote?"
While 34.2 percent of the participants have opted for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and 20.7 percent for the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), 9.2 percent of the participants have indicated that they would vote for the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and 8.2 percent for the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).
When the swing voters, which have constituted 5.4 percent of all participants, the ones who would boycott the elections and have not give an answer are proportionally distributed among the others, only three political parties could pass the 10-percent electoral threshold, namely the AKP, CHP and HDP.
