The HDP has released the following statement about the incident:
"We wish rest to the ones who have lost their lives, condolences to their families and our people and a quick recovery to the injured. We demand that necessary steps be taken to investigate this unacceptable situation urgently and in the most effective way possible and authorities find the responsible.
"The detention of our district chair and the house raid against our co-mayor today are the first indications that they are after a perception operation rather than a serious investigation.
"We are determined to keep our stance in terms of doing what is necessary in both democratic politics and social sphere to ensure that each and every inch of this land will become a place where people lead a humane life in peace and quiet. We condemn the attack in the strongest possible terms". (RT/SD)
