The programs of September 1 Peace Day rallies in İstanbul, Diyarbakır, Ankara and İzmir have been shared with the public:
* According to the statement of Ankara Labor and Democracy Forces, people will gather in front of Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) at 4 p.m. and will march to Tandoğan Square. The peace rally will start at 5 p.m. Before the rally, a commemoration ceremony for the ones who lost their lives in October 10 Massacre in 2015 will be held in front of Ankara Main Train Station at 3 p.m.
* The rally of "Democratic Solution for an Honorable Peace" will start at İstasyon Square at 3 p.m. in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbakır.
* The peace rally of İstanbul will be held at Kartal Square. The cortege will start gathering in front of Ahmet Şimşek College at 12 at noon.
* İzmir Labor and Democracy Forces will organize the rally with the slogan "We Want Democracy and Peace Against Fascism and War". The rally will start at Gündoğdu Square at 6 p.m.
Forbidden to say 'trustee, palace, coup'
The protests against the appointment of trustees to the Metropolitan Municipalities of Diyarbakır, Van and Mardin still continue.
In the peace rallies in Diyarbakır, Van and Antalya, all slogans, banners and placards containing the words such as "trustee" and "coup".
As reported by Mezopotamya Agency (MA), Diyarbakır Rally Organization Committee Spokesperson Ramazan Karakaya has announced that slogans containing the words "trustee" and "palace" as well as the slogan "Peace cannot be isolated" have been banned.
Permitting the peace rally in Van, where a ban on demonstrations and events has been in effect since November 21, 2016, the Governorship has banned the banners with the slogans "No to seizure of people's will", "No to isolation, yes to peace" and "Co-chair system is our purple line".
As reported by İleri Haber news website, in its response to the application for a peace rally in Muratpaşa, Antalya, the District Governorship has informed that all slogans, placards and banners such as "No to trustee, we will defend peace and democracy together", "No to trustee and coup, long live peoples' fraternity", "No to trustee and coup, long live our struggle for rights, law and justice" and the like will not be allowed after and during the rally.
