Imprisoned in Edirne Prison since November 4, 2016, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) former Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş has drawn the charcoal portrait of Republican People's Party (CHP) MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu.
Tanrıkulu has shared the details of his visit to Demirtaş in prison on his official Twitter account. "I am in Edirne. I visited my dear friend Demirtaş. He sends his greetings and love to everyone", Tanrıkulu has said in his tweet:

After this tweet, Tanrıkulu has also shared the portrait of himself drawn by Demirtaş. Tanrıkulu has stated in his tweet,
"My dear friend Selahattin Demirtaş made a big surprise to me today. He drew my charcoal portrait. I am honored. It will be the grand memory from this period for me. Hoping to have him with us as soon as possible."
