After the appeals were made at the election councils, recounts were completed in Şile and Kartal districts in İstanbul.
The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) MP Özgür Karabat announced on Twitter that the votes for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) increased only by 10 after the recounts.

CHP Votes Increase by 8
"Upon the AKP's objections, all the votes were recounted in Şile district. In the 115 ballot boxes, CHP votes increased by 8, AKP votes did not change.
"Recounts show how meaningless the AKP's objections are. This delay is disrespect towards 16 million İstanbulites.
"In Kartal, AKP votes increased by 10 in the 28 recounted ballot boxes.
"In Beykoz, CHP votes increased by 5 and AKP votes increased by 2 in the 60 recounted ballot boxes."
Recounting of the votes in Beykoz is still continuing.
The difference is over 21 thousand
According to the latest statement by the election authorities in this morning (April 3), the difference between the leading CHP candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu and AKP candidate Binali Yıldırım is 21,464. (PT/VK)
