Demirören News Agency (DHA), which previously reported that according to the data shared by the Supreme Election Council (YSK), Ekrem İmamoğlu, the candidate of main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) and İYİ Party for the Metropolitan Mayorship of İstanbul, was leading, has removed the related news article from its website.
As of 10 a.m. today (April 1), the link of the article could not be reached. When the link is clicked, it is directed to the main page of the agency.
İmamoğlu was leading
In its news article published at 9.15 a.m., the data shared by the DHA on its website were as follows:
- Number of ballot boxes: 31 thousand 186
- Opened ballot boxes: 31 thousand 87
- Rate of opened ballot boxes: 99.68 percent
- Number of votes: Ekrem İmamoğlu: 4 million 157 thousand 237 - Binali Yıldırım: 4 million 130 thousand 49
- Rates of votes: İmamoğlu: 48.80 percent - Yıldırım: 48.48 percent
State-run agency stopped data flow
The state-run Anadolu Agency (AA) stopped the data flow last night after making its last data update at 11.21 p.m. The agency has not made any updates on its related news yer.
İmamoğlu: We have won
İmamoğlu has also made a statement regarding the elections for the 11th time since yesterday. Speaking in a TV program today, İmamoğlu has stated that they have won the Metropolitan Mayorship of İstanbul.
