Amendments have been made about higher education civil servants by Presidential decree published on the Official Gazette.
The condition of working as professor for three years to become university president won’t be sought. President of the Higher Education Board (YÖK) can now make assignment of university presidents.
The condition to become university president was lifted for the second time
The condition of working as professor for three years to become university president was lifted.
The aforementioned condition was lifted by statutory decree no. 703 dated July 9.
With the decree published on July 15, the condition was brought back but with the decree issued today, the condition was lifted again. (BK/TK)
