After 60 civilians lost their lives in Israel's attack against Gaza, a resolution which called for the cancellation of the agreements between Turkey and Israel was submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey yesterday (May 15). After a vote held in Parliament yesterday evening, the resolution was rejected with the votes of Justice and Development Party (AKP) MPs.
The main opposition party Republican People's Party (CHP) İstanbul MP Ali Şeker made a statement on his official Twitter account yesterday and announced that the resolution which was submitted to the General Assembly of the Parliament for the cancellation of the agreements with Israel was rejected with the votes of the AKP.

Some of the AKP MPs gave Nazi salute
When the resolution was voted at the General Assembly, some of the MPs of the AKP were seen to be giving Nazi salute.
On May 15, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) announced on its official Twitter account that the general debate request submitted by the HDP to the General Assembly of the Parliament for the cancellation of the agreements between Turkey and Israel and imposition of economic sanctions on Israel was also rejected by the AKP and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).
"You took dozens of decisions smoothing the way for Israel"
Chair and Presidential candidate of the Felicity Party (SP) Temel Karamollaoğlu also made a statement about the recent developments in Gaza during his meeting with the MP candidates of his party in the capital city of Ankara.
Reminding his audience of the energy cooperation agreement signed by the Ministers of Energy of Turkey and Israel two days ago, Karamollaoğlu said,
"You have taken dozens of decisions which smooth the way for Israel up until today. Which of these agreements will you cancel? You will go and hold a demonstration, it is enough to make a cat laugh!" (PT/SD)
