Presidential candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Selahattin Demirtaş, who is also the former Co-Chair of the HDP and is currently imprisoned in Edirne Type F Prison, has sent a letter to Mother Xano, who is seen in a video to be listening to a folk song played and sung by Demirtaş.
The letter has been posted on Twitter by the attorney of Demirtaş, Mahsuni Karaman.
Demirtaş has sent the following letter to Mother Xano:
"Dear Mother Xano. I have learnt that you watch my videos. May Allah give you a long and healthy life. I will come and sing you folk songs in person. Take care of yourself. I am kissing your hands."
The video of Mother Xano drew considerable interest
In a video shared on Twitter, Mother Xano, who is from Turkey's eastern province of Tunceli, is seen to be watching a video, where Selahattin Demirtaş is playing and singing a folk song. The video attracted a wide interest on social media. (ŞA/SD)
