Cut Down on Planned Motor Vehicles Tax Hike in Draft Law, Proposal on Income Tax Hike Withdrawn
The planned increase in motor vehicles tax has been reduced to 15% for 1,300 cc engined cars and below, to 25% for cars with above 1,300 cc engines. The proposal for an increase in tax income has been withdrawn.

The proposal to reduce a planned increase in motor vehicles tax to 15-25% from an initial 40% proposed in a draft omnibus bill discussed in the Parliamentary Committee on Planning and Budget has been approved.
The agreed increase on motor vehicles tax for 1,300 cc engined cars and below is 15% and for cars with above 1,300 cc engines, 25%.
Income tax
The Parliament has also withdrawn from the bill that proposed increase in income tax to 30 percent from 27%, which remains the same for third tax bracket.
The regulation which foresees that the minimum wage would not drop below 1404 TL (325 Euro) has been approved in the commission. (YY/DG)
