Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has applied to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) to annul the referendum.
Making a statement after submitting the application for annulment, CHP Vice Chair Bülent Tezcan noted that the unsealed envelopes were not separated from the sealed ones and therefore it was not possible to determine how many unsealed ballot papers were used.
"The only thing to do is to annul the referendum", Tezcan said and added:
"This is theft of votes, and the national will".
"Like how ballot box officers sealed the unsealed ballot papers afterwards, we do not know the extent of intervention on the ballot paper sacks kept in district polls during the last two days. But we have no doubt that there had been an intervention". (YY/DG)
