Boydak Holding issuing press statement upon arrest of Board Chairperson Hacı Boydak and its CEO Memduh Boydak has expressed that the holding has been acting over 59 years in principle of “sharing its gain with society”.
Security Directorate Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams had launched an operation into center of Boydak Holding in Organized Industrial Zone on charge of financing Gülen Movement within the scope of investigation conducted into Gülen Movement by Kayseri Chief Prosecution on March 4.
The Gülen movement is a transnational religious and social movement led by Turkish Islamic scholar and preacher Fethullah Gülen. The group is currently accused of attempting to overthrow the democratically elected Turkish government through a judicial coup in December 2013. It is accused of engaging in illegal wiretapping, blackmail and issuing threats. Investigations into the group are continuing. |
Hacı Boydak and Memduh Boydak were arrested on March 6 (Sunday).
“Most of the social aid were delivered to public institutions”
The holding’s written statement briefly expressed the following:
“Baydak Holding acting in principle of ‘sharing its gain with society’ over 59 years, has fulfilled its obligation for the state and society by providing aid to institutions that are found appropriate by executive authority and for NGOs.
“We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities by helping institutes and institutions that laws permit”.
Memduh Boydak had been detained as Melikşah University Board of Trustees Chairperson over qualified robbery and unfair land allocation, and then released.
