Asrın Law Bureau has announced that three inmates held in İmralı Prison, including imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, met their families yesterday. The last family visitation was held in İmralı on August 13, 2019.

Held in İmralı Type F High-Security Closed Prison, Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan and two inmates have met their families.

In a brief message shared on Twitter by of Asrın Law Bureau yesterday (March 3), it was stated, "The families of our clients held in İmralı Island, Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, Mr. Ömer Hayri Konar and Mr. Veysi Aktaş met our clients as part of family visitation today. Announced to the public."

As reported by Mezopotamya Agency (MA), Abdullah Öcalan met his brother Mehmet Öcalan as part of this family visit.

The last time Abdullah Öcalan met his brother Mehmet Öcalan in İmralı Prison was on August 13, 2019. As for his lawyers, the last time they met Abdullah Öcalan in prison was on August 7, 2019. (EKN/SD)
