Turkish Army lieutenant Emre As (23) lost his life in the southeastern district of Saray, Van. Another private was reportedly wounded. 

According to AA (Anadolu Agency), a group of PKK members with long-range weapons opened fire to the miltary team in Saray, Van late last night . A lieutenant died and a soldier was wounded. Working in Yamanyurt Border Station Command, the military team patrolled to struggle against smuggling on Turkey-Iran border line. 

Fırat News Agency claimed that the incident resulted from clashes between HPG (People’s Defence Forces) and TSK (Turkish Military Forces). (NV/MUY/BM)
