In a latest statement released by the The Ministry of National Defense today (February 3), it has been announced that five soldiers and one civilian personnel have lost their lives in Syria's Idlib as a result of heavy artillery fire opened by the forces affiliated with the Syrian army.
The Ministry released another statement earlier today and indicated that four soldiers lost their lives and nine soldiers were wounded in the attack. The Ministry also stated that one of the soliders was critically wounded. With the latest statement, the death toll has increased to six.
As stated by the Ministry in its first statement, the soldiers, who were sent as reinforcements to the region for the purpose of preventing conflicts in Idlib de-escalation zone, were attacked by the regime forces, although their locations were previously coordinated. The statement added that the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) responded to the attacks and destroyed the targets. (HA/SD)
