One sergeant major, who was heavily wounded in a clash that erupted in Turkey's southeastern district of Lice in Diyarbakır between Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members and soldiers, has lost his life in the hospital, two soldiers are under treatment.
The operation launched in six districts in the city on May 28 continues.
The wounded soldier died in the hospital
The clash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. today (June 19).
According to Canan Altıntaş from the Doğan News Agency, three soldiers were heavily wounded in the clash.
As the clash continued in the region, the wounded soldiers were taken to Selahaddini Eyyübi State Hospital by helicopter. The wounded sergeant major lost his life, the other two soldiers are under treatment. (AS/TK)
