There are over 3.71 million Syrians under temporary protection status in Turkey, according to the updated figures of the Ministry of Interior's Directorate General of Migration Management.
There was a slight increase in the number of refugees from 3.64 million last year and from 3.57 million in 2019, the figures showed.

İstanbul, the largest city of Turkey, is also the largest host of Syrian refugees as 532,736 Syrians are registered in the city, according to the figures.
İstanbul is followed by the border provinces of Antep, Hatay and Urfa, all of which host more than 400,000 Syrian refugees.
Nearly two million Syrian refugees are man and over 1.7 million are women, the figures showed. About 1.7 million of all Syrians are younger than the age of 18. (VK)
