The Van 3rd Penal Judgeship of Peace has imposed an access block on the website of JinNews "jinnews10.xyz" as well as on the websites of the Etkin News Agency (ETHA) and Yeni Demokrasi (New Democracy) newspaper. In line with this order, the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) has blocked access to the websites.
When one tries to access the websites from Turkey, a warning appears on the screen in Turkish and English:
"The protection measure has been taken for this website (etha16.com, jinnews10.xyz, yenidemokrasi9.net) according to decision nr. 2020/3488 D.İş dated 28/10/2020 of 'Van 3rd Penal Judgeship of Peace' has been implemented by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority."
Most recently, an access block was imposed on JinNews on October 23, 2020. This latest access block has marked the 12th block imposed on the website, which was established on September 25, 2017. ETHA's website "etha15.com" was also blocked to access on October 22.
Reporting news with the motto "On the path to truth, with a woman's pen," JinNews now publishes its news on "jinnews11.xyz". While ETHA now reports its news on "etha17.com", Yeni Demokrasi Newspaper shares its news on "yenidemokrasi10.net". (TP/SD)
