Executives of BirGün daily, İbrahim Aydın and Berkant Gültekin have been sentenced to 21 months in prison on charge of "defaming the President" have submitted themselves to Kırklareli Prison for the execution of their prison sentence.
According to the report of BirGün daily, the two are expected to be release after completion of necessary procedures in the prison since the period of release on probation has been increased to two years.
BirGün daily's grant holder İbrahim Aydin and Managing Editor Berkant Gültekin were sentenced to 21 months in prison on charge of "defaming the President" under Article 299 of the Turkish Criminal Code due to a report criticizing the education system.
