Dicle News Agency (dihaber) correspondent Selman Keleş taken into custody in Turkey's eastern province of Van during news coverage has been arrested.
According to the report of dihaber, Keleş and Van's İpekyolu Municipality employee Arif Aslan were taken into custody on March 20 while filming for a news coverage near the Metropolitan Municipality Building on claims of "suspected membership to an [illegal] organization" and their technical equipments were sought.
Keleş and Aslan were referred to court after necessary procedures were completed in the security department and were later arrested on charge of "being a member of an [illegal] organization".
According to BİA Media Monitoring Reports, 131 journalists are under arrest as of December 2016. (NV/DG)
