According to the news compiled by bianet from local and national newspapers, news websites and agencies, men killed at least 253 women in several provinces of Turkey in 327 days from January 1 to November 21.

One of the women killed by men was a trans woman from Moldova.
Of the women killed by men in this period, two women were from Syria, one woman was from the UK, one woman was from Azerbaijan, one woman from Uzbekistan, one woman from Mongolia, two women from Afghanistan, one woman from Tajikistan and one woman was from Turkmenistan.
In 327 days from January 1, 2020 to November 21, 2020, the deaths of at least 214 women were reported in the press as "suspicious."
In the first 21 days of November 2020, men killed at least 24 women and wounded 45 women.
Who killed women?
More than half of women were killed by their husbands, ex-husbands, boyfriends and ex-boyfriends.
165 women were killed by their husbands, boyfriends, ex-boyfriends and ex-husbands. At least 50 women were killed by their family members such as big brothers, fathers, sons, son-in-laws; 16 women were killed by their neighbors and friends; one woman was killed by a mayor; one woman was killed by a delivery worker; one woman was killed by the burglar who broke into her house; one woman was killed by a real estate agent and one woman was killed by the repair worker who came to her house. The relationship/acquaintance between at least 17 women and the men who killed them was not reported in the press.
How did men kill women?
Men killed 59 percent of women with firearms.
Men killed 150 women with firearms and 66 women with a knife. Burning at least three women to death, men also strangled 14 women.
While men killed seven women by pushing them from a balcony, vehicle or cliff and killed five women by battering them, the methods of killing in at least eight feminicides were not reported in the press.
Where did men kill women?
Men killed 48 percent of women inside the house.

January
In January 2020, men systematically tortured two women, then killed them. One of 21 women killed by men in January had a protection order. Two women were killed by two men who had been released from prison. One of the male perpetrators was a village guard.
In Trabzon province, a man named Z.F. battered his 15-year-old daughter Z.F. with a belt because she had talked to her boyfriend. In Antalya, a man named B.K. (40) killed his daughter Ekin K. (12).

February
The man who killed one woman had been systematically torturing her. One woman had appealed to police before being killed, but could not get any results. One of the women killed by men was from Syria.
Her two relatives attempted to kidnap a girl aged 17 in İstanbul.
A Syrian child was battered in Bolu province. A father also battered his daughter in the same province.

While one of the women killed by men was a citizen of the UK, one woman was a citizen of Azerbaijan.
