Three people were killed and several were injured in heavy storms that hit northern and western parts of Turkey today (November 29).
Two people were killed in Esenyurt, İstanbul, after parts of a roof that was blown off fell on them. Two other people, including a foreign citizen, were killed and a total of 19 people were injured in the city, according to a statement by theGovernor's Office.

In the northern province of Zonguldak, a construction worker lost his life after being crushed under a collapsing wall.
Authorities have canceled sea voyages in the Sea of Marmara and ship passages in the Bosphorus strait.
The speed of the winds coming from the southwest exceeded 105 kilometers per hour, according to measurements by a State Meteorological Service (MGM) station in Çatalca, İstanbul. A watchtower in the district collapsed during the storms. The MGM had issued orange alarms for 17 provinces ahead of this week.
The wind speed in Beylikdüzü district was over 130 kilometers per hour, according to the measurements.

Videos circulating on social media showed toppled trucks, blown of roofs and people struggling to walk on the streets.
In İstanbul's Beşiktaş district, a centuries-old plane tree fell on a parked car.
Trees and roof parts fell on vehicles in northwestern provinces of Balıkesir and Bursa as well.
The sea overflowed in the western provinces of Muğla and İzmir. Shopkeepers tried to protect their shops by piling sandbags.
