Hit by heavy rainfall and flood in August 2021, Bozkurt district of Kastamonu province has been flooded again.
As reported by the state-run Anadolu Agency (AA), heavy rainfall has caused flooding in several neighborhoods of the district, especially in Sınarcık, Yılmaz and Cumhuriyet streets in central Bozkurt.
The water level of the Ezine Creek, which overflowed its banks in August and flooded several houses and workplaces in its vicinity, has started to increase. Teams are working to prevent floods.
Most recently, on August 11, 2021, heavy rainfall caused the Ezine Creek in Bozkurt district to overflow its banks and to flood several houses and workplaces in the vicinity. 71 people in total lost their lives in the flood that occured in the Black Sea province of Kastamonu in August.
