A private public bus span out of control and crashed into a bus stop in the district of Mamak in the capital city of Ankara today (September 30)
While the accident took place in front of Mamak New Central Mosque, three people have lost their lives according to initial reports.
Several ambulances and police teams have been referred to the scene of incident. Treated by first response teams, the wounded have been taken to nearby hospitals. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
Governor: 3 people died, 3 people got wounded
Coming to the scene of incident, Governor of Ankara Vasip Şahin has announced that according to initial findings, three people have lost their lives and three others have been wounded:
"According to initial reports, the public bus crashed into the bus stop. Friends will examine and detect whether it was caused by a technical fault. Our three citizens lost their lives in the scene of incident and our three wounded citizens have been hospitalized. It is mentioned that before ambulances came, some citizens were taken [to hospital] with private vehicles. We are inquiring how many people were taken and whether it is true". (RT/SD)
