An investigation has been opened against Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan after her remarks at the hearing of the case about an armed attack on the party that killed a party worker in June.
During the defendant's identification at yesterday's (December 29) hearing, Buldan, as an attendee, urged the judges to "treat the murderer like a murderer."
After the presiding judge asked the defendant about his level of education, Buldan said, "He received his education in Manbij [a city in Syria]. He is a killer trained in Manbij. You can't ask questions as calmly as this. Treat the murderer like a murderer. This guy received training from ISIS."
The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that it had opened an investigation into Buldan for her "insulting behavior and statements against the court board." (RT/VK)
