Seven people who posted social media messages about Turkey's Operation Peace Spring have been arrested in Bursa, Kocaeli and Antalya.
Eight people were previously taken into custody in Bursa for allegedly "propagandizing for a terrorist organization" with their social media messages about the operation. Four of the detained were arrested yesterday evening (October 16). The other four have been released on probation.
Another suspect who was referred to judgeship on duty in Bursa for allegedly insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with social media messages has also been released on probation.
In Turkey's Mediterranean province of Antalya, one person who was accused of "sharing messages praising the terrorist organization" has been arrested.
Taken into custody by the Anti-Cyber Crimes Department of the Antalya Security Directorate in the district of Manavgat, E.D. has been arrested by the court on duty that s/he was referred to yesterday evening.
In the western province of Kocaeli, two people who allegedly "propagandized for a terrorist organization" with their social media posts about the Operation Peace Spring have also been arrested.
Kocaeli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office previously issued a warrant against two suspects on October 14 and accused them of "propagandizing for a terrorist organization with their social media messages" about the Operation Peace Spring. Suspects F.Ö. and S.B. were detained by the Anti-Terror Branch of Kocaeli Security Directorate.

24 of 186 people previously detained for "doing black propaganda" about, or smearing, the Syria operation on social media were arrested yesterday. 78 suspects were released, 40 of them with judicial control measures.
As reported by the state-run Anadolu Agency, cyber patrol activities of "cyber units" of Ministry of Interior continue across Turkey 7 days 24 hours.
İstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office released a written statement shortly after the operation started and announced that a legal action would be taken against the ones reporting and broadcasting news about the operation. (AS/SD)
