'Eliminate this unjust treatment'
Mahsuni Karaman, the lawyer of Ayşe Çelik, has stated on Twitter:
"Teacher Ayşe, who joined the program Beyaz Show via phone during the conflict-ridden period in city centers and raised concerns over the suffering in civilian living spaces by saying, 'Don't let children die, don't let mothers cry', went to prison today to serve her 15-month prison term.
"The execution of the sentence of teacher Ayşe was deferred for three times before, during this period, it was hoped that the individual appeal made to the Constitutional Court would be concluded. However, unfortunately, no judgement has been given by the Constitutional Court.
"We expect that the Constitutional Court announce its ruling regarding the appeal which has no missing points for evaluation, discussion or judgement and, thereby, eliminate this unjust treatment. No ruling to be given after the execution of the sentence will be a remedy."
