In the district of Pazarcık in Maraş, one person named M.A. has been arrested on charge of propagandizing for ISIS.
M.A., who was taken into custody after an operation launched by the Pazarcık District Security Directorate Anti-Terror forces, was arrested earlier today (September 28) by the Penal Judgeship of Peace.
The Ministry of Interior has also announced that, 430 social media accounts were investigated and legal action was taken against 344 social media users in operations conducted between September 17 and 24.
Social media investigations
General Directorate of Security announced on August 12, 2018 that an investigation was launched into 346 social media accounts which shared posts about the exchange rate of the US Dollar.
Ankara and İstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices launched investigation into "news items, printer and visual publication, social media accounts that serve in economic attacks" on the same day.
