The Austria-based re:volt magazine shared a post on Twitter yesterday (September 11) and announced that its author Max Zirngast was taken into custody by the anti-terror forces in the capital city of Ankara at 5 a.m.
In its Twitter post, the magazine stated, "The accusation against Zirngast is, of course, terror!!! Turkey is trying to silence all oppositional voices. They will not be able to do it!"

"Most probably, political publications"
The magazine announced that the police also detained other people as part of the operation, adding that the reason of Zirngast's detention is "most probably political publications."
The Jacobin magazine, which Zirngast has also been contributing to, has also stated,
"One of our contributors, Max Zirngast, has been taken into custody by Turkish police under the pretext of anti-terror charges. This is an appalling abridgment of democratic rights. #FreeMaxZirngast"
