The Ministry of Interior announced that 403 social media accounts were investigated and legal action was taken against 267 social media users from July 16 to July 23.
According to the written statement published on the official website of the ministry on July 23, the investigations were carried out in relation with the following charges:
"Propagandizing for and praising a terrorist organization; openly declaring relation with terrorist organizations; inciting the public to enmity and hatred; insulting the state officials, targeting the indivisible integrity of the state and the life safety of people and engaging in hate speech..."
