Three people, who were taken into custody on the ground that they celebrated the results of the June 24 elections by shooting into the air, have been released.
At the Habipler Square in the district of Sultangazi in İstanbul, several people celebrated the results of the presidential and 27th term parliamentary elections on June 24 by firing their guns into the air.
After the video recordings of the shooting celebrators were reported in the news, the İstanbul Security Branch Office launched an investigation.

On June 29, 2018, three people, who were identified by the licence plate of the car where they shot their guns, were taken into custody. At the residence address of one of the suspects, two blank cartridge pistols were found. The pistols in question were used at the election night.
Two suspects previously violated law on firearms
It has been indicated that two of the suspects have previous criminal records on charge of violating the Law No. 6136 on Firearms, Knives and Other Instruments.
After the three suspects gave their depositions, a legal action was brought against them and they were released with the instruction of the Public Prosecutor's Office conducting the investigation. (HK/SD)
