Second part of the “bag bill” whose first part passed at the General Assembly on April 13 was approved last night (April 14).
There were articles such as mandatory traffic insurance, Channel İstanbul, insurance premium aid, and erasing debts of tourism professionals.
Second part of the bag bill includes articles such as reconstruction of Diyarbakır’s Sur, erasing debts of general health insurance debts, recruiting 15,000 police officers and employment right for parents of “terror” victims.
Reconstruction of Sur
Legal basis of reconstruction of Turkey’s southeastern Sur district of Diyarbakır province has been established with the law. According to that, places where public order and security has been distorted to the extent to stop or hinder daily life; the areas which have insufficient substructure services and with damaged buildings; can be determined by the Council of Ministers as risky area to constitute healthy and safe living environments, enable public services like health, education, and transportation to be conducted properly
The areas on where more than 65% of the constructions built against public housing laws or don’t have a license in addition to the constructions which have later received habitation permit can be declared risky area.
Suit can be brought against the risky area decision after is it published on the Official Gazette, however, suit cannot be brought against the risky area decision on practice procedures. (HK/TK)
