The voices of those who lost their loved ones: 1 May '77 and impunity e-book was published in Turkish and English on April 6, 2021. The video of the work is also released now.
bianet's work titled "The Voices of Those Who Lost Their Loved Ones / 1 May 1977 and Impunity" started on May Day 2020 and was completed on January 26, 2021.
In the video
The video edited by actor and director Okan Avcı and produced by Alarga Film begins with the narration of loved ones of those who lost their lives.
The loved ones of those who lost their lives who gave life to the video with their voices, in order, are: Ercüment Gürkut's friend Nedim Gürsel, Rasim Elmas' daughter Birsen Kement, Bayram Eyi's son Zeki Eyi and Hikmet Özkürkçü's daughter Behiye Özkürkçü.
The May 1st anthem sung by Cem Kara plays in the background. Endless thanks to Emrah Karaca, who made contributions for the use of the anthem, and Sarper Özsan, its composer.
In the e-book
The first of the two parts of the book includes Tuğçe Yılmaz's interviews with the loved ones of those who lost their lives and the second part includes articles by Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DİSK) chairs Süleyman Çelebi, Kani Beko, former DİSK secretary-general Fehmi Işıklar and Education and Science Workers' Union (Eğitim-Sen) Chair Nejla Kurul and Emel Aktürk on what happened on May 1, 1977 and impunity.

The stories of 27 people
With this work, 27 people who lost their lives in Takim on that day are no longer just numbers. They join us with their short lives, jobs, joblessness, poorness, those whom they loved, songs, books, with what their loved ones from all around the country.
Six teachers, seven students with one 11-year-old, 16 workers, three health workers, one police officer, with their deaths, show who participates in Workers' Days and the reversed reality.
