A health employee at the Diyarbakır Selahaddin Eyyubi State Hospital told bianet that the hospital building was damaged in the earthquake. Some balconies departed from the building and there were cracks and fractures in the building.
The employee told that they immediately went to the hospital in order to work after the first earthquake on February 6.
But the second earthquake was stronger, and the hospital was evacuated following it.
The patients other than those in the intensive care unit and the health employees were evacuated.
However, they received another instruction a few hours later to return to the hospital in order to work.
The employees are worried and working in fear. Similarly the patients.
A field hospital needs to be built in the city for the safety of the health personnel and the patients told the employee bianet.
