Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, President of the Republican People's Party (CHP), and Meral Akşener, President of İyi Party denounced the blocking of Twitter in Türkiye on the third day following the disastrous earthquakes that hit the south of the country and caused the death of more than 8 thousand people up to now.
"The Palace government blocked social media communication. The result is that we can hear the cries for help less. We know what you are trying to hide. We are waiting for an explanation," Kılıçdaroğlu wrote.
Akşener on the other hand said, "How can you restrict access at a time when communication is so crucial for announcing the needs of those hit by the earthquake? What kind of evilness is this? Who are you afraid of? Why are you afraid? Shame on you!" (TY/PE)
