Reşahat Ada, sister of sick prisoner Hamdusena Ada spoke and she said, "We are requesting that these children be released in front of the courthouse. Their release should not be delayed. You should be just. Our children should not be taken to the hospital handcuffed. How will the doctor treat our children when they are handcuffed? We demand that the oppression in prisons be ended. We will protect our children, we will stand by them. You should keep your word to us. We are inviting all political parties and all people to support our demonstrations. "
Zeki Baran, Co-Chair of MED TUHAD-FED, an association of families of prisoners said, "Mothers are on justice watch day and night. If there is no justice somewhere then nothing has any meaning. Prisoners who are seriously ill should be treated or released.
"They are waiting for ill prisoners to die in prison"
Families of prisoners also met in front of the Bar Association in İzmir in the west of Türkiye.
Fehime Poyraz, mother of Deniz Poyraz who was killed in the party building of People's Democratic Party (HDP) in İzmir said here, "They are waiting for ill prisoners to die in prison or they release them when they have only a little time left. We do not accept this. Our children were healthy when arrested. We do not want them to come out ill or their dead bodies to come out of prison."
Prisoner with 90 percent disability "can stay in prison"
A medical report stating that "he can stay in prison" was given to Şaban Kaygusuz in prison in Kayseri who is 25 years old and has a 90 percent disability.
Speaking to Mezopotamya Agency, his brother Muhammed Kaygusuz said that the condition of his brother was deteriorating every day.
He also told that his brother who was injured and arrested after a shootout and who does not have his right hand and foot was forced to wait on his single leg during each daily control.
