After the members of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) were taken into custody in house raids of the police as part of an investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on January 14, five people were arrested today (February 18).
After they gave their statements at the prosecutor's office, 27 people were released on probation while 20 people were referred to the judgeship.
Referred to the İzmir Penal Judgeship of Peace, ESP İstanbul Co-Chair Egi Bahçeci, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Party Assembly member Sıtkı Güngör, ESP executive Kerim Altınmakas, Limter-İş Union Organization Specialist Deniz Bakır and Gülşah Polat have been arrested.
Referred to the judgeship to be arrested, Etkin News Agency (ETHA) reporter Pınar Gayıp has been released to house arrest.
ESP Co-Chair lawyer Özlem Gümüştaş, Ceren Çoban, Alev Özkiraz and Socialist Women's Assemblies (SKM) Central Executive Board member Satiye Ok have also been placed under house arrest.
Limter-İş Union Deputy Chair Levent Akhan, HDP İstanbul Provincial Organization Co-Spokesperson Pınar Türk, Hakan Kafadar, Rıdvan Coşkun, Burak Yılmaz, Seyit Cem Çakmak, Atilla Dalkılıç, Yener Aygün, Nihat Ünal and Begüm Ateş have been released by the judgeship on probation.

As reported by Mezopotamya Agency (MA), 27 people have been released on probation by the prosecutor's office without being referred to the court:
Zindan Dorudemir, Medine Çam, Safa Ensar Albağlar, Tuncay Kılıç, Nazlı Masatçı, Kamil Ağaoğlu, Mehmet Küçük Günaydın, İsmail Özer, Eda Can Demir, Yunus Kara, Ozan Özgenler, Nesrin Salduz, Engin Ateş, Nevzat Alkan, Emrah Alkan, Deniz Çanak, Deniz Dilli, Zeynel Sabaz, Kutay Soybil, Akgün Irgat, Cihan Taşkın, Efe Özcan, Güldem Hantaş, Mehmet Fatih Bilben, Rezzan Mintaş, Erol Erol, Talat Bingöl.
