One soldier has lost his life and one soldier has been injured in a conflict that erupted in Çukurca in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari.
Releasing a statement about the incident, the Ministry of National Defense has announced that the attack was launched by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and an armed conflict ensued the attack.
Indicating that the three people who launched the attack were killed in Zap region in Iraq, the Ministry has also announced that the air-supported operations are continuing in the region.

Nine soldiers have lost their lives in the conflicts that erupted and in the attacks that were launched in July:
On July 3, one soldier lost his life in Eruh, Siirt,
On July 9, two soldiers lost their lives in Hakkari,
On July 14, three soldiers lost their lives in a conflict with the PKK during the operation conducted by Hakkari Gendarmerie Command in Hakkari,
On July 18, Specialist Corporal Mustafa Ünal lost his life in Hakurk, Iraq,
On July 19, Major Zafer Akkuş lost his life near Çalıdüzü village in Bitlis. (EKN/SD)
