Onur Özalp, who was hit and severely injured by an armored police vehicle while playing in front of his house in the district of İdil in Turkey's southeastern province of Şırnak on December 18, 2017, has lost his life.
Five-year-old Özalp, who was taken to the Batman Public Hospital after the incident and discharged from there after his treatment, was living in his house, connected to a life support unit.
As reported by Mezopotamya Agency, Özalp died in the morning yesterday (September 23). It has also been reported that he will be put to rest in İdil.
What happened?
Onur Özalp, who was four years old atthe time of incident, was hit and severely injured by an armored vehicle in the district of Idlib in Şırnak on December 18, 2017.
An armored police vehicle hit Özalp, who was playing in front of his family's house in Aşağımahalle in İdil district. He was first taken to İdil Public Hospital by the people around and then referred to Cizre Public Hospital following the initial treatment.
His treatment continued in Batman Public Hospital as his condition was severe. The wounded child was kept in intensive care. After being discharged from hospital, he continued living in his house, connected to an intensive care unit. (HA/SD)
