Curfew has been declared ahead of an operation planned to be carried out in Akarsu neighbourhood of Nusaybin district in Turkey's southeastern province of Mardin. The curfew will remain in effect until further notice.
Mardin Governorship in a written statement declaring the curfew has said:
"An operation will be carried out in order to neutralize members of the separatist terrorist organization in the rural area of Nusaybin district, and destroy their shelters".
"In order to ensure security of the lives and property of our citizens residing in the area where the operation would be carried out, curfew has been declared in the area limited to the Akarsu neighbourhood which will be in effect as of September 4, 2017 Monday 01.30 a.m. until further notice".
