Updating its travel lists for Covid-19, England has kept Turkey on the "red list."
Those who are not citizens of the UK or Ireland or don't have residence rights in the UK are not allowed to enter England if they have been in a high-risk country in the last 10 days.
Those who are allowed to enter the country must follow specific rules, including taking a Covid-19 test before traveling to England and staying in quarantine for 10 days after their arrival.
People who are fully vaccinated are subject to the same rules.
Now experiencing its fourth peak of the pandemic, Turkey has been on England's red list since May 12. It is averaging 19,763 new cases and 225 new deaths per day over the last week.
There are currently more than 60 countries on the red list announced by the UK Department of Transport. (KÖ/VK)
