The third stage of the "gradual normalization period" started as of 5 a.m. today (July 1) with most of the restrictions lifted, including midnight and Sunday lockdowns.
All businesses that have suspended their activities will reopen and operate within the opening and closing hours determined by the relevant authorities, according to a circular by the Ministry of Interior.
Indoor swimming pools, public baths, steam rooms, theaters and massage salons reopen and the restriction on the card and board games in coffee houses has been lifted.
Restrictions on intercity travel and passenger numbers in all vehicles of public transport have been lifted.
Events such as concerts, youth camps and festivals are allowed in open areas with consideration to allocate four square meters per person outdoors and six square meters indoors. Mask, physical distancing and hygiene measures will also continue.
Shisha cafes will remain closed and shisha service will remain banned.
The distance between tables in cafes and restaurants will be no less than one-and-a-half meters but the number of people on a table will not be restricted.
A ban on outdoor music will take place at midnight tonight in a decision that outraged musicians and the public.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the ban on June 21, saying, "Excuse me but no one has the right to disturb others at night." (TP/VK)
