Journalists following the crowd after the Peoples' Democratic Party's (HDP) Peace Day rally yesterday (September 1) were battered by the police, Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reported.
Police officers got journalist Mesut Bağcı on the ground and broke his camera, according to the report.
A police who introduced himself as an anti-terror officer threatened Berivan Kutlu, a reporter for MA, and Zelal Tunç, a reporter for JINNEWS, with death, saying, "I will shoot you and nobody can find your body."
The same officer pulled a gun on Elfzi Toral, also a reporter for JINNEWS, video footage showed.
The journalists will file a criminal complaint against the officers.
bianet reporter Tuğçe Yılmaz was also harassed by a police officer during a Peace Day demonstration in İstanbul's Kadıköy.
