At least 21 journalists have been detained in police raids in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır.
Among the detained are Serdar Altan, the co-chair of the Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) and Safiye Alagaş, the manager of the Jin News agency, the Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reported.
Jin News, a women-focused news agency, reported that police raided its office and seized equipment.

The names of some of the other detained journalists: Gülşen Koçuk (Jin News editor), Aziz Oruç (MA editor), Ömer Çelik, Suat Doğuhan, Ramazan Geciken, Berivan Karatorak, Esmer Tunç, Neşe Toprak and Zeynel Abidin Bulut.
Dicle Müftüoğlu, the other co-chair of the DFG, was released yesterday (June 7) after three days in detention.
