Dicle Müftüoğlu, the co-chair of the Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) and an editor for the Mezopotamya Agency (MA), has been detained.
Police raided Müftüoğlu's home early in the morning (June 3) in the mostly Kurdish populated southeastern province of Diyarbakır, MA reported.
Officers searched the flat where no one was found. Leaving the flat after the search, police summoned the journalist to give a statement.
Müftüoğlu was detained at the Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate, where she went to depose. The reason for the detention could not be learned.
