Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Mehmet Aslan was detained in a house raid in İstanbul in early morning hours today (January 5). Aslan has been detained as part of an investigation launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Turkey's Mediterranean province of Antalya.
The police searched Aslan's house for almost one and a half hours and seized the digital materials of Aslan as well as several magazines and books found at his house. Detained in rear-handcuffs, journalist Mehmet Aslan has been taken to the Provincial Security Directorate.
