The recent data of the İstanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) has shown that the fill rate of dams is currently 46.26 percent in İstanbul. While the fill rate of İstanbul's dams was over 80 percent in April, it has once again started to drop due to a lack of precipitation.
The related measurements have found out that the loss of water in İstanbul's dams has been nearly 10 million cubic meters in the past week.
The highest fill rate measured in Ömerli
The fill rate of Alibeyköy, one of the dams in İstanbul, has dropped from 65.42 percent in April to 16.21 percent. Most of the areas which used to be filled with water are now dry. There has remained 5.57 million cubic meters of water in the dam with a total capacity of 34.14 million cubic meters.
The dam with the lowest fill rate in İstanbul is Papuçdere with 3.32 percent. The nearby Kazandere Dam's fill rate has been measured as 10.61 percent. Alibeyköy Dam, with 16.21 percent, has been the third worst dam in terms of their current fill rates. The dam with the highest fill rate in İstanbul is reportedly the Ömerli Dam with a current fill rate of 73.23 percent.
